Not every tired driveway needs replacing. If the slab is structurally sound but stained, weathered or patchy, it can usually be cleaned, repaired, resurfaced and sealed, which published Perth guides put at roughly half the price of a full replacement. Resurfacing options include a spray-on cement coat at about $50 to $75 per square metre, an exposed aggregate overlay at about $50 to $100, and a stamped or stencilled overlay at about $80 to $130, with lifespans of around 10 to 20 years when sealed. Prep decides the result: a high-pressure clean, crack repair, and a dry slab, with new concrete left for 28 days before it is sealed.
