Concrete Slabs & Shed Slabs

What’s Included with Our Concrete Slabs & Shed Slabs Service

Slabs cover a lot of ground: house slabs for new builds and extensions, shed and garage floors, carports, patios, alfresco areas and pool surrounds. A house slab is poured to an engineer's design based on the site classification under AS 2870. Much of the Perth coastal plain is sand and classes as A, which is the lightest footing requirement, but some sand sites are classed P and need soil work, and the clay around Midland and the foothills is typically class M or higher. A geotechnical soil test is how you find out before the slab is designed. Smaller slabs still need the same basics: a compacted base, a vapour barrier where moisture matters, the right mesh sitting on bar chairs at mid-depth, and formwork set to the correct level and falls. Plumbing, termite protection and any set-downs have to be in place before the pour, so the order of trades matters as much as the concrete. A shed slab is poured to suit the shed itself, so ask your shed supplier for the slab and footing details before booking, and tell us what will be parked or stored on it. Tell us what the slab is for, its size and the access, and we will price it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Published 2026 Perth price guides put plain concrete at roughly $60 to $95 per square metre supplied and laid, liquid limestone at about $80 to $130 and exposed aggregate at around $100 to $160. For a 40 m² driveway that works out to about $2,400 to $3,800 in plain concrete. Removing an old driveway, the slope, the access and the finish all move the price.
